On a Patriot, three quick beeps, a 5-second pause, repeating for a minute, means the battery fell below 10.5V during a gate cycle. Below 10V the gate shuts down. The battery needs a load test, and the charger or solar panel needs checking.

Usually, yes. US Automatic has used several Patriot board revisions, identified by part number and serial prefix, and each has different features. We read the board before scheduling, and replace an older board with the current design when that is the better repair.
