UniFi runs cameras (UniFi Protect) and door and gate entry (UniFi Access) from one console on your network, and Ubiquiti charges no license fee for Protect. Video records to drives inside that console at the property, and Ubiquiti states it cannot view or access your video streams.
We plan the coverage and the entry points, pull and terminate the cable, wire the gate operator into the Gate Hub, and set up each user in the UniFi apps.
Day and night, at every door, gate and drive you want watched or controlled.
Camera positions, console, switch and hub locations, and cable routes, approved before anything is ordered.
Cable pulled and terminated, cameras aimed at night, the gate operator wired to the Gate Hub and tested.
Owner account, app setup for each user, and the camera and door list in writing.
Scoped to your property, not a flat per-item rate. These are the factors that move the number, in the order they usually matter.
Ubiquiti charges no license fee for Protect, whether it runs 4 cameras or 4,000. Two UniFi products do bill: Touch Pass credentials in UniFi Access (Apple or Google Wallet passes, billed per user per year after a one-year trial that includes 10 passes) and UniFi Talk phone plans.
On drives inside the UniFi console at your property. Ubiquiti keeps no cloud copy by default and states it cannot view, store or access your video streams. Remote viewing runs through your own UI Account.
Ubiquiti doesn't publish a list of compatible operators. For automatic closing, the Gate Hub either relies on an operator with a Full Open input and its own auto-close timer, or runs its own timer, which needs Full Open and Full Closed inputs. To close the gate from the app, Ubiquiti requires a gate position sensor and an entrapment protection device. We check your operator's terminals against those requirements on the site walk.
Yes, with UniFi's License Plate Unlock. It needs a compatible UniFi AI camera, such as the AI LPR, wired directly to a PoE port on the Access hub. On the Gate Hub, the gate opens only when its sensor reads the gate as closed. At night the AI LPR's view shows little beyond plates and headlights, so a second camera on the drive is what shows the car and the driver.
Video is recorded to the console on site, not sent to a cloud, and Ubiquiti's Local Management lets you run the system from the property's own network during an internet outage. Viewing from outside the property needs the internet back.
Name, phone and ZIP. We walk it before we price it.
