The All-O-Matic SL-100DC PRO is a 24V brushless DC slide gate operator, rated for continuous duty, UL 325 Classes I through IV, and gates up to 2,000 lb and 50 ft long. We diagnose and repair the SL-100DC PRO, the earlier SL-100FP DC and the discontinued SL-100AC, including units we didn't install, starting with the board's lights and event log.

The ALL-BLDC PRO board reports faults through its LEDs and keeps an event log of the last 50 events. From the manual:
MODE light blinks once every two seconds: a problem with the motor sensor feedback.
MODE light blinks twice every two seconds: motor overload detected.
MODE light blinks three times every two seconds: the gate is jammed.
ALARM light on for 5 minutes: the operator shut down after the gate hit an obstruction twice before reaching fully closed.
AC/PWR ON light blinking every half second: the main board fuse is blown.
LOW-BATTERY light on: the batteries are low, turned off or disconnected.
FP-DISABLE light on: the foot pedal is down and the operator is disabled.
MON-FAULT light on: a monitored open or close device is missing or malfunctioning.
Event log CLOSE ERD or OPEN ERD: the obstruction sensing tripped. Inspect the gate and adjust the ERD if necessary.
Event log MOTOR OL: motor overload. Check the gate hardware and the operator's capacity.
Event log MOTOR SF: motor sensor fault. Check the motor harness connections.
Event log FUSE BLOWN: motor fuse blown. Replace the fuse on the main board.
Event log AC VOLT LOW: an AC voltage drop. Inspect the main power connections.
Event log EEPROM ERROR: processor error. Replace the board.
Units from model year 2024 or before use the earlier ALL-BLDC board, where the ALARM light also blinks every 30 seconds and beeps when the batteries are low, bad or disconnected.
Most SL-100DC PRO faults are repairable. The board's lights and event log name the fault, and the board, batteries, limit switches, belt, chain and fuses are separate parts. Replacement makes sense when the gearbox or motor has failed out of warranty late in the unit's life, or when the gate is beyond the operator's rating of 2,000 lb and 50 ft.
The discontinued SL-100AC is rated for 1,000 lb and has no battery backup. It retrofits to the SL-100DC PRO, which has battery backup built in. For a gate beyond the SL-100DC PRO's rating, we size an operator rated for it. We confirm the gate's weight and length, the mounting pad and the chain run first.
The SL-100DC PRO is a current All-O-Matic product, made by a manufacturer based in Van Nuys. All-O-Matic posts a separate manual for units from model year 2024 or before, which use an earlier board, so we confirm your unit's year and board before we schedule the repair.

Veritas Access Solutions repairs All-O-Matic SL-100DC PRO operators across Los Angeles, Ventura and Kern counties, including the older SL-100FP DC and SL-100AC and operators another company installed. We read the board's lights and event log, diagnose on site and give you a written diagnosis before any work. Call 661-605-3266, or text a photo of the operator.
The built-in obstruction sensing (ERD) reverses the gate when it makes contact. If it hits an obstruction twice before reaching fully closed, the operator shuts down and the ALARM light stays on for 5 minutes. Find what the gate is hitting before pressing the red RESET button outside the control box.
Check the board lights first. FP-DISABLE on means the foot pedal release is down, and its kill switch stops the operator. STOP on points to the stop input. A blinking MODE light or a blinking AC/PWR ON light points to the motor or a blown fuse.
Repair, in most cases. The board, batteries, limit switches, belt, chain and fuses are separate parts, and many units are still under warranty. Replace it when the gearbox or motor has failed out of warranty late in its life, or the gate is beyond its rating of 2,000 lb and 50 ft.
It runs on two built-in 12V 7Ah batteries, which All-O-Matic rates at about 80 cycles on a 1,000 lb gate. DIP switch 4 sets fail-safe, which opens the gate before the battery drains, or fail-secure, which locks it closed. DIP switch 7 opens the gate 45 seconds after the power goes out.
With the gate stopped, and ideally the power off, step on the foot pedal and move it to the side to latch it down, then push the gate open. The pedal has a kill switch, so the operator will not run while it is down.
It depends on the fault, whether the part is under warranty, the condition of the batteries and the drive, and the safety devices on site. We price after an on-site diagnosis rather than over the phone, and the estimate is free.
